Our league has been made aware of fraudulent requests for fees to hold “spots” to play in our league. The Calgary Women’s Basketball League is an open and inclusive league. The league will not ask for money to hold your spot for a chance to be on a team or join the league.
Every September we hold an open tryout to either join an already formed team or if there are enough players, form a new team within the league. These teams do pay fees to play but are listed on this website – we have 11 teams competing in the league this year.
Currently, the league has begun playing, we are not accepting new teams or players to join. You can email the league at cswba2@gmail.com to join our Sub List. This list is used by teams if they need a sub for a game within the current season.
If someone is asking you to pay money for a chance to play in this league this season, DO NOT pay them.
